Manager - Health, Safety and Security

Major mining construction project requires a Health, Safety and Security Manager to develop and implement effecive tools to reduce risk and improve health & safety performance. Incumbant will ask as an internal consultant to assist employees and contractors in ensuring safety and health objectives.

Duties:
- Ongoing review of standards to identify and rectify gaps in both engineering and construction stages
- Manage compliance audits
- Participate in Safety Task Force initiatives
- Work with contractors to review health and safety management system activities
- Assist with data collection and preparation of annual SECA reports

Qualifications:
- University undergraduate degree or preferably a graduate degree in occupational health, engineering, industrial hygiene, geological sciences or a related field.
- 10 years of health and safety experience in a mining or construction environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to facilitate change.
- Solid understanding of health and safety with a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
- Adherence to the highest ethical standards, demonstrating integrity, accountability, commitment and transparency at all times.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4-5 year assignment
$150-200k salary

- 15% uplift on top of your salary

You must be willing to relocate to South America or a surrounding region. The position will start temporarily in Toronto, Canada and/or another undetermined 'project satellite office'. In some circumstances positions may require an interim relocation prior to the destination site. Accommodation and relocation costs will be covered by the company to relocate your family with you.
